Privacy policy

Effective October 22, 2026. Applies to the Naloxone Finder & Support website and the home-screen app, from Marissa’s Voice Inc.

The short version

  • There is no account, no sign-in, no advertising and no analytics or tracking tool on this site or app.
  • Searching never sends what you type anywhere. The listings load onto your device and are searched there.
  • Your location is used only if you tap “Use my location.” It is turned into the nearest ZIP code on your device, and it is not saved or sent to us.
  • The only thing we receive from you is a suggestion or correction, and only if you choose to send one.

What is stored on your device

This is kept in your browser or app only. We cannot see it.

  • Your last search (ZIP code or place you typed, state, distance, filters). This lets the page reopen where you left off.
  • Your language choice (English or Spanish).
  • The time the listings were last downloaded, so the page can say how old its saved copy is.
  • An offline copy of the pages, the listings and the how-to steps, saved by the app so the emergency numbers and steps work without a connection.

You can remove all of this on the Delete my data page, or by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings.

Location

The finder asks for your location only when you tap “Use my location,” and your phone asks permission first. The position is compared with a list of ZIP code centers on your device to choose the nearest ZIP code. It is not stored, not logged and not sent to Marissa’s Voice or anyone else. If you say no, you can type a ZIP code or choose a state instead.

If you send a suggestion or correction

The form at the bottom of the Find help page sends what you type (listing or place name, ZIP code, your message, an optional source link, an optional way to reach you, and which listing it is about) to Marissa’s Voice. The form is processed by Netlify, Inc., our website host, which stores the submission and may keep technical details such as your IP address. We use it only to check and correct listings and to reply if you left contact details. A suggestion never changes the page by itself: a person reads it and checks it against a source first. Please do not include health information or details about anyone’s overdose.

Other companies involved

  • Netlify hosts the site and receives standard web server records (such as IP address, the page asked for and the time) when you visit.
  • Google Fonts supplies the typefaces. Your browser asks Google’s servers for them, so Google receives your IP address.
  • Links that leave this site (for example Google Maps for directions, YouTube for videos, PayPal for donations, and each listing’s own website) are run by other companies with their own privacy policies. They only get information from you if you open them.
  • Phone numbers use your phone’s own calling feature. Marissa’s Voice does not run the helplines listed here. Each is run by the organization named on its card.

Children

This site is a public-health information resource and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
